List the activities you have participated in and tell of your proudest accomplishments: The activities I have participated in are hockey, football, baseball and National Honor Society. My proudest accomplishments are being a previous captain in my sports, making the varsity hockey team as a sophomore and getting good grades.
What is your favorite class and why? What is your favorite subject: My favorite class is U.S. History because it is easy to understand and I have a good teacher. My favorite subject is math because it is satisfying when I understand it and I am good at it.
What are your future plans: My future plans are to graduate high school, hopefully advance my athletics, go to college, graduate college then do whatever life has in store for me.
What are your hobbies and/or personal interests: My hobbies/personal interests are playing sports, hanging out with my friends, playing with my dog and spending time with my family.
Who is your hero, if you have one, and why: My hero is my grandma because she has faced many tough obstacles in her life, but she has remained strong. I admire that.
Tell of a most memorable experience that relates to school, personal interests or a hobby: A memorable experience that relates to school would be a volunteer event for National Honor Society. I volunteered at a Special Olympics event and what made it memorable was how cheerful everyone was. The participants tried their best and were always so positive, it was a good experience. I’m glad I got the opportunity to help out.
How do you demonstrate leadership: I demonstrate leadership by being a positive role model for my peers. I’m a very anti-bullying guy so I stick up for others and am kind. I also try to always have a positive outlook on life which can catch on to others. Being a leader is important to me.
How do you approach academics to achieve success: I approach academics to achieve success by being a good student. I do my homework and strive for good grades because it is something to be proud of. I believe that getting good grades now will make things easier and create more opportunities in the future.
What special projects have you done, in or out of school: Some special projects I have done are, like I said earlier, the Special Olympics. I have also participated in Feed My Starving Children and events for breast cancer awareness.
Why do you think you won this award: I think I won this award because I get good grades, am a good student, am a positive leader to my peers and strive for greatness every day.
What does it mean to you: Winning this award means a lot to me. I know that only a select few get this award so I’m honored to be able to get this opportunity.
